CENTERVILLE – From Barnstable Police: The Barnstable Police Department is asking for the public’s help regarding a serious assault that occurred on September 9, 2026, between 8:00–9:00 PM. The incident began on Fuller Road and continued to Marie‑Ann Terrace in Centerville.
A 74‑year‑old Barnstable resident was violently assaulted and sustained significant injuries requiring treatment at Cape Cod Hospital.
Suspect Description:
• White male, approximately 30 years old
• About 6 ft tall, stocky build
• Possibly accompanied by a second person in the vehicle
Vehicle Description:
• Newer model Volkswagen SUV
• Dark in color
• Illuminated VW emblem on the front grille
The suspect vehicle was last seen driving toward Fuller Road after the assault.
