Basement fire doused in West Barnstable

WEST BARNSTABLE – Firefighters responded to a Hollyhock Drive residence just after 10 AM Sunday to find smoke coming from the building. A fire, possibly electrical in nature was discovered in the basement and extinguished. Eversource was called to disconnect power to the house. No injuries were reported. Further details were not immediately available.
