BOURNE – Bourne Firefighters responded to a basement fire sometime after 8:30 AM Tuesday morning. Mutual aid was also called to the scene on Sanderling Drive. Firefighters encountered heat and smoke in the basement. No injuries were reported.
Shortly after 9 AM, the fire was reported under control. The Red Cross is providing temporary shelter for the displaced residents. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
