ORLEANS – A fire raged through a barn in Orleans Wednesday evening. Firefighters responded to Horseshoe Lane about 6:45 PM to find the structure fully involved. Mutual aid from surrounding towns responded to assist in keeping the flames from spreading to other buildings. Initial reports said lithium-ion batteries may have been involved and a propane tank may also have been involved. Tankers from Wellfleet and West Barnstable responded as there were no hydrants in the immediate area.
By 8 PM, the fire was reported to be under control.
