MASHPEE – From Mashpee Fire: At this time (noon) route 151 is shut down to all traffic.
A gas main was struck causing an uncontrolled leak. National Grid is on site trying to remediate the issue.
All traffic is being routed down Old Barnstable Road.
Editor’s note: The leak is on Nathan Ellis Highway (Route 151) by Old Brickyard Road.
Update: As of 1:30 PM the road had reopened.
