HYANNIS – The pilot of a single-engine plane declared an inflight emergency about 9:30 AM Wednesday after determining his landing gear would not lock into position. A short time later he was able to make a successful belly landing at the airport. Two people onboard the aircraft were evaluated but appeared uninjured. The airport was temporarily closed until the aircraft could be removed to a hangar. The FAA will investigate the incident.
