FALMOUTH – A car struck a utility pole knocking down primary power lines in Falmouth. The crash happened around 5:15 PM on Quaker Road south of Curley Blvd. No serious injuries were reported. Utility line crews were enroute to assess the damage and start the repair process. Falmouth Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
Update: Eversource has listed 7:15 PM as an estimated time of restoral.
Update 7:15 PM: 1,800 customers out with a new restoration time of midnight.
Later in the evening, the outage was reduced to 788 customers.
