COTUIT – Cotuit Fire reports they received a call shortly after 9:30 AM Saturday morning for a motor vehicle vs. building. Units responded from the Cotuit Fire Station to the U.S. Post Office at 45 School Street. Upon location crews discovered a Toyota Rav4 had struck the side of the building causing moderate damage and then backed up into the parking lot.
The driver, a 78-year-old male, denied injury and refused treatment and transport to the hospital. The Barnstable Building Inspector responded and determined that the building was structurally safe. Barnstable Police also responded and assisted.
