FALMOUTH – A heartbreaking scene in Falmouth early Saturday afternoon after a child drowns in a swimming pool. Rescuers rushed to the Cape Cod Campresort & Cabins at 176 Thomas B. Landers about 1 PM. Bystanders had pulled the 4-year-old boy out of the water and were administering CPR when the ambulance arrived. Falmouth Fire Capt. Ryan Galvin tells CWN the boy was rushed to Falmouth Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The child’s grandmother was also taken to the hospital after being overcome with grief. The incident is under investigation.
