DENNIS – The Dennis Police Department is inviting residents to help brighten the holiday season for local children by participating in a Toys for Tots toy drive today, Saturday, November 7.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside Marshalls at Patriot Square in South Dennis, rain or shine.
Community members are encouraged to stop by, meet local police officers and donate new, unwrapped toys to support children in need during the upcoming holiday season.
Those wishing to participate can bring a toy purchased in advance or shop at Marshalls, the Dollar Store or other retailers in Patriot Square before dropping off their donations with officers.
The drive is part of the annual Toys for Tots campaign, a nationwide charitable initiative organized by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve that collects and distributes toys to children whose families may otherwise struggle to provide holiday gifts.
The Dennis Police Department is encouraging residents to spread the word about the event and help make this year’s collection effort a success.
For those unable to attend today’s drive, the department is also offering an Amazon wish list where supporters can purchase toys online and have them delivered directly to the Dennis Police Station.
The department thanked the community for its continued generosity and support of local children during the holiday season.
Event Details: Saturday, November 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Marshalls in Patriot Square, South Dennis. Donations of new, unwrapped toys will be accepted throughout the event.
