HYANNIS – A downed power line forced the closure of Center Street in Hyannis shortly after 3:30 PM Monday. The wire apparently broke lose from its insulator causing an outage affecting 250 Eversource customers. Line crews were responding to repair the problem and hoped to restored by 5:15 PM. Barnstable Police were detouring motorists around the scene.
