Fail to stop leads to car fire, driver in custody

DENNIS –  A driver allegedly failed to stop for Mass State Police around 8 PM Friday. Police were responding to a report of a vehicle operating erratically. Police spotted the vehicle on Route 6 in Yarmouth and tried to stop it as it drive on at least 1 rim causing a shower of sparks. The driver exited at Route 134, turning into a gas station where the vehicle had started to catch fire. The driver was taken into custody and Dennis Fire responded to extinguish the fire. Further details were not immediately available.
