Falmouth Police say driver was texting when pickup crashed into house overnight

FALMOUTH – Falmouth Police report that at 1:11 AM Monday morning, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Woods Hole Road and Glendon Road for the report of a crash, where a pickup had struck a house. The homeowner and sole occupant was not injured. The operator sustained a minor injury and refused further care at the scene. A heavy-duty tow truck was used to remove the car. The Building Inspector was contacted and asked to perform a more detailed examination of the house. The 26-year-old operator from East Falmouth will be summonsed to court for Operating a Motor Vehicle to Endanger, Marked Lanes Violation, and Texting while Driving.
