HARWICH – From Harwich Fire The Fire Department responded to Saquatucket Harbor this afternoon to assist the Harbormaster with a spill into the harbor.
A truck had a hydraulic leak that spilled into the harbor and on land. The DPW assisted on shore and fire department personnel and harbor personnel deployed booms to capture the product that spilled.
The resources used for containment come from the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection spill trailer that is assigned to the town.
