WAREHAM – From Mass State Police: At 830 AM on September 19th, multiple 911 calls came in reporting a man who appeared to have an axe on Route 195 East in the area of the Wareham rest stop. The man had allegedly assaulted a female that was in a vehicle before fleeing the scene.
Cruisers from several barracks responded in an attempt to locate the male.
The suspect was subsequently located and taken into custody in the area of Swifts Beach by the Wareham Police.
