Man arrested for second OUI-liquor after driving on rim


FALMOUTH
– Falmouth Police report that early Tuesday morning an officer observed a vehicle on Route 28 traveling on the rim of the wheel creating sparks at about 30 mph in a 55 mph zone. The vehicle was stopped and after an interaction with the driver the officer found him to be impaired. As a result, the driver identified in the FPD daily log as Robert Sylva Jr., 63, of East Falmouth was placed under arrest for operating under the influence of liquor (2nd offense), and operating negligently to endanger.
