UPDATED: Martha’s Vineyard airport closed for “security emergency”

WEST TISBURY – The Martha’s Vineyard Airport was closed Tuesday morning due to a “security emergency” according to a post by West Tisbury Police. Further reports indicated there was a bomb threat and an explosives dog was being flown to the island. 

Shortly before 11 AM, State Police reported the airport had been swept with nothing found and the airport was open again.
