HYANNIS – The Town of Barnstable is advising motorists that paving operations on Mary Dunn Road will shift to overnight hours beginning Monday, November 2, with temporary lane closures expected during the work.
According to the Barnstable Department of Public Works, town contractor C. Naughton Corp. will conduct paving operations over two consecutive nights, Monday, November 2, and Tuesday, November 3, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
The work will take place along Mary Dunn Road between the Route 6 overpass and Airport Way, weather permitting.
Temporary lane closures will be in effect, with alternating one-way traffic maintained through the construction area. Traffic control personnel will be stationed along the roadway to direct vehicles and assist motorists.
The revised schedule represents a change from previously announced daytime paving operations associated with the Mary Dunn Road Water Main Replacement Project.
Town officials are urging drivers to use caution when traveling through the construction zone, obey posted signs and directions from traffic control personnel, and allow additional travel time.
The overnight paving operations are scheduled to conclude Wednesday morning, November 4, weather permitting.
Residents and motorists seeking additional information or project updates can contact Barnstable DPW Senior Project Manager Matthew Wrobel at 508-790-6400.
