Mashpee Wampanoag Police seek dirt bikers accused of surrounding vehicle, breaking window

MASHPEE – From Mashpee Wampanoag Police: The Mashpee Wampanoag Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying several dirt bikes and/or their operators involved in an incident on Great Neck Road South yesterday.

The dirt bikes were observed following and surrounding a motor vehicle traveling from the Mashpee Rotary southbound on Great Neck Road South.

The operators were reportedly riding behind, in front of, and alongside the vehicle, weaving in and out of traffic and coming extremely close to the vehicle. The operators were also reportedly yelling at the driver and making obscene gestures.

The driver attempted to get away from the situation by pulling into the Mashpee Wampanoag Government Center.

The dirt bikes reportedly turned around, returned to the area, and a rock was used to break the vehicle’s window. The vehicle was also kicked and sustained additional damage. The operators then left the area traveling south on Great Neck Road South.

The same or similar dirt bikes were observed again today on Meetinghouse Road, traveling recklessly through a construction zone.

Please do not confront or attempt to stop the individuals. If you observe them, contact law enforcment and provide their location and direction of travel if it is safe to do so.
