Near drowning victim pulled from.water at Race Point Beach in Provincetown

PROVINCETOWN – A man reportedly nearly drowned at Race Point Beach in Provincetown early Wednesday afternoon. The incident happened north of the public beach in a camping area. According to reports, bystanders pulled the victim out of the water and administered CPR. Rescuers had to use 4 wheel drive and ATVs to reach the scene. The victim was brought to a waiting ambulance and transported to the Marconi site in Wellfleet to meet a MedFlight helicopter to be flown to an off-Cape trauma center. Further details were not immediately available.
