PROVINCETOWN – From Provincetown Police: Earlier Wednesday, a local organization received a phone call from someone claiming to be fundraising and asking for a donation on behalf of the Provincetown Police Department.
Please be aware that the Provincetown Police Department does not conduct fundraising or solicit donations over the phone. This call was a scam.
If you receive a similar call, refrain from providing any payment, banking, credit card, or personal information. Simply hang up the phone. If you’re uncertain whether it’s the Provincetown police or the association, please contact us at 508 487-1212.
