Reported armed individual taken into custody without incident in Barnstable

CENTERVILLE – Multiple Barnstable Police units responded to a report of an armed individual in Centerville Wednesday morning. A large search including a Mass State Police helicopter ensued and the person was taken into custody without incident. Some Barnstable schools in the area were placed on lockdown as a precaution during the search.

Update: Barnstable Police tell CWN the incident is domestic in nature and they are prohibited by state law from releasing any information.
