PROVINCETOWN – Shark sightings have become commonplace along Outer Cape beaches. However, Saturday about 12:35 PM, a shark was spotted about 20 yards off the South side of Herring Cove Beach in Provincetown. This is significant because the shark was inside the “hook” of the Cape. Per protocol, lifeguards cleared the water for an hour. Two days ago a 9 foot Great White was discovered washed up at Pamet Harbor in Truro.
