BREWSTER – From Brewster Police: Route 39 in Brewster (South Orleans Road) is currently closed between Freeman’s Way and Meetinghouse Village following a single-vehicle crash involving a utility pole and fire hydrant.
Utility crews will be on scene for much of the day replacing the damaged pole and restoring utility services, including power to affected residences.
Please seek alternate routes and avoid the area while crews are working.
No major injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation by the Brewster Police Department. Updates will be provided as appropriate.
