FALMOUTH – Two people were injured on one seriously in an early morning disturbance in Falmouth. Officials responded to a Pinecrest Beach Drive residence shortly after 3 AM Monday. One person suffered a serious head injury and was rushed to a hospital as a trauma alert.
From Falmouth Police: On August 31, 2026, at approximately 3:06 AM, the Falmouth Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting an assault involving multiple weapons in the Jenkins Pond area.
Officers arrived and located an adult male suffering from serious injuries. Falmouth Fire and Rescue provided medical treatment and transported the victim to an area hospital.
Falmouth Police Detectives responded and were assisted by the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigation. The investigation revealed that the victim had been struck with a baseball bat and cut with a box cutter, and that the suspect had threatened the victim with a bow and arrow.
As a result of the investigation, a 44-year-old Falmouth man was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder, two counts of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault and Battery, and Mayhem.
The victim is reported to be in stable condition. The defendant was arraigned this afternoon at Falmouth District Court, where he was ordered held.
