Increased police presence at Barnstable High School

HYANNIS – There was increased police presence at Barnstable High School Thursday after an unidentified phone call received by Barnstable Police raised some concern, according to the school’s Twitter page.

The tweet, which included a letter from Principal Pat Clark, said there was no specific threat to the school.

“We are thankful for the continued collaborative relationships we have with all first responders in our town,” said Clark in the letter posted on Twitter.

Students remained safe and were scheduled to be dismissed at the regular time.
