HYANNIS – A large police presence including a SWAT vehicle was reported at the Cromwell Court complex on Barnstable Road Monday morning. A Barnstable Police spokesperson confirmed to CWN that a wanted person was taken into custody without incident.

From Barnstable Police: On Monday October 12, 2026, at approximately 7:00 AM, members of the Barnstable Police Investigative Services Division, with assistance from the DEA Cape Cod Resident Office and the Cape Cod Regional SWAT Team, executed a search warrant at an apartment complex in Hyannis. The warrant was the result of a month-long investigation by the Barnstable Police Narcotics Unit into 27 year old Moises Neto for distributing crack cocaine from the residence. The search yielded approximately 38.5 grams of crack cocaine, packaging materials, a digital scale, and nearly $3,000 in US currency. As a result, 26 year old Douglas Neto was arrested and taken into custody at the residence.

At the time, Moises Neto was wanted on four outstanding arrest warrants as well as an extraditable warrant out of New York. While the Cape Cod Regional SWAT Team secured the second apartment, detectives obtained an additional search warrant for that residence.
