Wellfleet firefighters use drone to locate missing hikers

WELLFLEET – Wellfleet firefighters were called to an area near the Audubon Society soneyime after 6 PM Saturday after a call from two hikers who became lost as the tide started to come in. With their cell phone batteries about to die, firefighters launched a drone and were able to locate them. Crews reached them by foot and walked them to safety. No injuries were reported.
