WELLFLEET – From Wellfleet Police: Chief Kevin LaRocco and the Wellfleet Police Department would like to remind residents and visitors to lock their homes and vehicles, and to keep valuables out of plain sight.
While Wellfleet remains a safe community, the department responds to several break-ins each year. Most of these incidents involve unoccupied residences; however, officers recently responded to a break-in at an occupied home. No injuries were reported, and no property was taken.
Wellfleet is generally very safe, but staying vigilant is essential. Locking your doors and remaining aware of your surroundings are simple, effective steps to keep our neighborhoods protected.”
