WELLFLEET – From Wellfleet Police: The Wellfleet Police Department is advising residents and visitors that White Crest Beach is closed until further notice due to significant damage caused by recent heavy rainfall.
The beach path and surrounding dune area have sustained severe damage, creating potentially hazardous and unstable conditions. For public safety, please do not enter the closed area.
The Wellfleet Department of Public Works is aware of the damage and will assess and address the affected area as soon as conditions allow and it is safe to do so.
The beach will remain closed until further notice. Updates will be provided when additional information becomes available. We appreciate the public’s cooperation and ask everyone to please avoid the area.
