WAREHAM – A woman was lucky to escape with only minor injuries after a large tree came down striking her vehicle. The incident happened around 10:20 AM on Cranberry Highway (Route 28) near County Road (Route 58) in West Wareham. The victim was transported to Tobey Hospital for evaluation. MassDOT workers responded to cut up and remove the tree.
