HYANNIS – A worker was injured at the Barnstable Water Pollution Control facility on Bearse’s Way around 2:30 PM Wednesday. The worker reportedly suffered a knee injury inside one of the containment bins. Firefighters were able to use an onsite crane to obtain access to the victim who was then extricated using a stokes basket. The victim was taken to Cape Cod Hospital. Further details were not immediately available.
