Worker injured in battery explosion at Mass Maritime Academy

BOURNE – A worker reportedly suffered burn injuries when a battery exploded at the Mass Maritime Academy in Bourne just after noon Tuesday. The victim was transported to Tobey Hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. It was not immediately confirmed if it was a lithium-ion battery. Further details were not immediately available.
