Yarmouth Police arrest alleged Fentanyl and heroin drug trafficker

YARMOUTH – Yarmouth Police report that on Monday at approximately 6:15 PM, Yarmouth Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit Detectives, Proactive Anti-Crime Unit (PACU) Officers, and Patrol Officers executed a search warrant at 42 Melville Road, South Yarmouth, Massachusetts based on probable cause developed during an investigation into the distribution of heroin and Fentanyl by Kevin D. Robie. 

Upon executing the search warrant and entering the residence, Kevin Robie was seated in the living room of the home. While speaking with Robie, he became lethargic and started to “nod off”. Robie admitted to Police Officers that he had just ingested a bag of heroin prior to the police arrival. Robie was immediately transported to Cape Cod Hospital by Yarmouth Fire Department ambulance where he was treated in the emergency department by hospital personnel.

A search of the residence was conducted which located 4.5 grams of Fentanyl and $1,500.00 is US Currency.

A prior search of the grounds of the residence located 63 grams of heroin which is resulting in a heroin trafficking charge. Trafficking of thirty-six grams or more but less than 100 grams is a very serious charge in Massachusetts and can lead to a term of imprisonment in the state prison for up to 30 years.

After treatment, Robie, who is well known to Cape Cod Law Enforcement, was placed under arrest on charges of trafficking in Fentanyl, and possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance (heroin). Robie was transported to Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters where he was booked and processed. He was scheduled for arraignment in the Barnstable District Court Tuesday.
