YARMOUTH – Stop in at YPD Headquarters on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 3 PM to 6 PM and receive a free gun lock thanks to Grandmothers Against Gun Violence.
Grandmothers Against Gun Violence has teamed up with the YPD and other Cape Cod Police Departments to offer free locks to gun owners to help save lives from accidental death or injury from unsecured firearms.
What Can You Do to Prevent Accidental Shootings?
- Make sure the gun is not loaded
- Use a gun lock on each gun and store in a locked cabinet
- Lock Ammunition in a place separate from the gun.
- Unless the weapon is in your direct possession, it needs to be locked up or secure.
Please join us anytime between 3 and 6 pm and enjoy free cider and snacks as well as the free gun locks and join in on a raffle for a free $400 gun storage box.
