1. Father’s Day Car Show

The annual Father’s Day Car Show is one of the Cape’s largest annual events. Hundreds of classic cars line Main Street in Hyannis. Anywhere from 50,000 to 60,000 people attend the event, making it the largest non-sporting annual event on Cape Cod.

2. Barnstable County Fair

The Barnstable County Fair, currently held at the Cape Cod Fairgrounds, began its life in 1844 when the Barnstable Agricultural Society had its first fair. As one of the most popular events on Cape Cod, the fair has grown throughout the years and includes a number of different acts, attractions and other fun things to do for the whole family.

3. 4th of July Festivities – Parades and Fireworks

4th of July festivities on Cape Cod have become legendary and are fantastic for the whole family. 4. Concerts at the Melody Tent

For over 60 years the Melody Tent has been a popular destination on the Cape featuring a wide variety of performers with seats right by the stage. The Melody Tent is run by a not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting the arts throughout the communities of Cape Cod.

5. Pops by the Sea

The Pops by the Sea concert is Cape Cod’s largest single cultural event, attracting more than 12,000 people since 1986. Having been voted as one of Cape Cod’s top events for many years, the Pops by the Sea concert brings one of the nation’s best musical ensembles together, the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra. This is the only Cape appearance by the orchestra. The concert takes place on the Hyannis Village Green, selling out on a regular basis. Featuring a variety of seating options, including VIP tables, festival seating and lawn space, the Pops by the Sea concert helps to promote, support and celebrate arts and culture on Cape Cod. The concert takes place in August.
