What your kids want from Santa this year

Each year, many parents try to find that perfect gift for their child – the one that they’ve been begging for, the one that will make those little faces light up when they unwrap it, or the one that will make you feel like “parent of the year,” even for just for a few brief moments.

To help make it easier on you, we’ve put together a few ideas for the kids for Christmas this year. These gifts were compiled from a broad list by bestproducts.com, and reflect some great ideas for the perfect present. Some are remakes of classics; some are plain silly. Here are just a few ideas that will be sure to make your child happy this Christmas:

Costway Infrared Remote-Controlled Robot – Fun and learning are combined with this little guy. Not only can he sing, dance and shoot colorful discs, he conducts math tests for the kids to answer. Lightweight and portable, you can take him almost anywhere.

Fingerling Monkeys – One of the big trends this year are these small, interactive, plastic monkeys that hang onto your fingers. They blink, respond to touch and come in a variety of different colors and styles. They are literally flying off the shelves, so if you’re child has asked for one of these collectible pets, good luck!

Teddy Ruxpin –Yes, he’s back! The new version of this classic toy features moving eyes with over 40 different animations to make storytelling and singing that much more interesting. He comes with any eye mask, so your child can snuggle after their bed time story.

Mattel View Master –The View Master of our generation, where you’d put different round cards in and pull down a lever to reveal a variety of images, has reinvented to appeal to a new generation. Download the app, slide in your smartphone and prepare your child for a trip to a virtual 3-D world right from home.

VTech Kidizoom Action Cam – This camera, made just for kids, allows them to take their own photos and videos without asking you for your phone constantly. They can filter and edit right on the screen, and it can be taken underwater or clipped to a bike for on-the-go action shots!

Watch Ya’ Mouth – As silly as it sounds, this party game has players doing their best to speak out phrases while wearing a cheek retractor. For what it may lack in sensibility, it makes up for in hilarity.

LuvaBella (or LuvaBeau) Baby Doll – This is a super-hot holiday toy that combines the need to nurture with today’s technology. This doll, available for both girls and boys, can learn over 100 words, learn his or her “parent’s” actions, and show facial expressions.

Tickle Me Elmo – Still a favorite and highly desired toy for the last who-know-how-many years, Elmo is still soft and huggable, and has a laugh that’s contagious. This is another one that doesn’t remain on shelves for long!

Not all of these suggestions are appropriate for all ages, so make sure you check the packaging carefully for the manufacturer’s guideline and instructions before buying. Most of these items can be found at retailers like K-Mart, WalMart and Toys “R” Us, but check with other retailers as well. You never know!

Happy shopping!
