Additional Stop the Bleed Classes Offered

ORLEANS – Due to overwhelming response, The Orleans Citizens Forum is adding additional Stop the Bleed training sessions. The course teaches students how to deal with serious injuries and was spurred locally in part due to shark attacks last summer.

The training is a part of a national emergency services program that originated from the White House in response to disasters. The January and February classes are already at capacity, due to the hands on nature of the training students are limited to 25.

The additional sessions are scheduled for April 10th and May 8th.

They take place at the Orleans Police Department from 3:30 to 5:30. Instructors include Orleans Fire Chief Tony Pike and members of the Fire Department.
