Animal Rescue League of Brewster to Hold Vaccination/Microchip Clinic Today (6-2)

BREWSTER-  The Animal Rescue League of Boston’s will hold its annual Rabies and Microchip Clinic at their Brewster Animal Care and Adoption Center today (6-2).

Rabies is a fatal disease, and Massachusetts law mandates that all dogs and cats be vaccinated – it’s one of the simplest things a pet owner can do to protect their animal.

Microchipping offers added protection just in case your animal becomes lost. Most pets have collars and tags, but if they somehow are lost, the microchip may be the key to a happy reunion.

The microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and when scanned shows the pet owner’s identification and address.

The vaccine is $10, $7 for seniors; and microchipping is $20, $15 for seniors, appointments are encouraged, but walk-in visitors are welcome.

The clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 3981 Main Street (Route 6A) Brewster.
