Annual Father’s Day Car Show Celebrates 25th Year

HYANNIS – Tens of thousands of people are expected to visit downtown Hyannis today for the Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerece’s annual Father’s Day Car Show.

The 25th annual event begins at 8:30 a.m.

Main Street will be closed until 2:30 p.m. as hundreds of classic cars will be on display.

In honor of the anniversary year, a 25 hours of music event, which began yesterday afternoon, will coincide with the car show until 3 p.m.

A near record crowd of roughly 50,000 to 60,000 people attended the car show last year.

The event has become one of the largest annual car shows in New England.
