BOSTON – The state has announced that Massachusetts residents who receive relief from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program can now use their EBT SNAP benefits to purchase groceries from participating locations of the retailer ALDI.
SNAP online purchasing is one of several tools the state is employing, alongside the state’s national leadership in Pandemic EBT, to combat food insecurity for Massachusetts families,” said COVID-19 Command Center Director and Secretary of Health and Human Services Marylou Sudders.
Although ALDI has its headquarters in Germany, Cape residents will most likely recognize ALDI as the parent company of Trader Joe’s.
Pick up or delivery is available on Instacart, and all fee’s including delivery have been waived through mid-March.
