Blue Rock Golf Course Gets Top Honors From Golf Publication

Blue RockSOUTH YARMOUTH – A local golf course has garnered top honors from an industry publication.

New England Golf Monthly has named the Blue Rock Golf Course in South Yarmouth as the best executive golf course in New England. The 18-hole par-3 was chosen by a panel of industry judges and an online survey of subscribers.

“We are honored to have been chosen by such a well-respected and widely-read publication as New England Golf Monthly,” said Blue Rock Golf Course’s PGA Professional Patrick Fannon. “Our goal is to always create a true golf experience and exceptional course conditions for our golfers.”

Blue Rock was one of a number of local courses making the top 10 list for executive courses. The Back Nine Club in Lakeville checked in at number two, Southers Marsh in Plymouth was number six, and the Golf Club at Yarmouthport was ranked ninth.

The rankings are apart of the magazine’s “2016 Best of New England Awards.”

Two Cape Cod courses made the top 10 for New England Golf Monthly’s rankings of top golf resorts: The Wequassett Resort and Golf Club in Harwich (2) and the Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club in Brewster (8).

In the publication’s list of best nine hole courses, Truro’s Highland Links was ranked third and Cotuit Highground Country Club was number five.
