BOURNE – A Bourne Man was arrested Monday for allegedly using a woman’s stolen credit cards to purchase merchandise totaling $850 last week.
Scott Bamford, 34, was charged with obtaining a credit card of another, retaining a lost credit card, receiving stolen property greater than $250 and multiple charges of identity fraud.
Bourne police say a woman reported fraudulent activity on her cards last Wednesday after leaving her purse at an area supermarket the day before.
Police reviewed surveillance footage from the Cape Cod Mall and other stores where the purchases were made and identified Bamford as the suspect.
The suspect was located by police at an area apartment and a search warrant was requested and issued for the residence.
Officers executed the search warrant Monday and police said they located many of the items purchased with the stolen cards, along with other items linking Bamford to the purchases.
