Buzzards Bay Coalition to Celebrate Solstice with Sunset Stroll

BOURNE – The first official day of summer is June 21 and residents and visitors on Cape Cod can celebrate the solstice by watching the final spring sunset in Pocasset.

The Buzzards Bay Coalition and the Bourne Conservation Trust will host a sunset stroll at Little Bay/Monk’s Park on Tuesday, June 20 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Attendees can enjoy beautiful views over Little Bay while enjoying the sunset during a guided walk through the woods and along the water.

The sunset stroll is part of Discover Buzzards Bay, an initiative to help individuals finds ways to explore the outdoors, get some exercise and connect with nature across the Buzzards Bay region.

Local residents can use Discover Buzzards Bay, which is sponsored by Southcoast Health, to explore woods, wetlands and waterways from Fall River to Falmouth.
