DENNIS – Cape Abilities is welcoming in the spring growing season with a tour of the organization’s farm in Dennis next month.
Co-sponsored by the Harwich Conservation Trust (HCT), Dennis Conservation Land Trust (DCLT), and Cape Abilities, the of the Cape Abilities Farm on Route 6A will last from 8:30 a.m. through 9:30 a.m.
James Barnes, Director of Social Enterprise with Cape Abilities will lead the tour.
Since 2006, Cape Abilities Farm has been providing employment opportunities for people with disabilities while also acting as a hub in the Cape Cod community to promote local sustainable farming. The farm provides fresh, pesticide-free, produce and flowers to the public through two Cape Abilities stores, farmers’ markets, restaurants, and local food pantries.
Admission to the tour is $10 per person with the proceeds benefiting the Harwich Conservation Trust, Dennis Conservation Land Trust, and Cape Abilities.
The mission of Cape Abilities is to serve individuals with disabilities on Cape Cod by educating, counseling and providing residential, therapeutic, social and employment supports that empower them to achieve meaningful and valued roles in the community.
The tour will be held on the morning of Saturday, June 8.
