Cape Cod Child Development Elects New Board Members

HYANNIS – A provider of early childcare education and early intervention on Cape Cod and the Islands has elected new board members.

Cape Cod Child Development has added Judy Connors Tarver, a retired early childhood educator and administrator; attorney John Kenney; and David Willard, retired Vice President of Community Relations at Cape Cod Five to its board of directors.

Tarver, a volunteer of CCCD for the past five years, comes to the Board of Directors with decades of Early Childhood Education experience which includes: First and Second Grade Teacher at the Auburn Enlarged City School District and the Education Director at the John Gavras Center in association with the United Cerebral Palsy Association in Auburn, New York.

The CCCD board also recruited a highly respected Attorney and community leader with the appointment of John Kenney to the Board of Directors. Kenney runs his own law firm right in Centerville, Massachusetts and is a key member of the local community, with memberships and affiliations with both the Barnstable County Bar Association and the Greater Hyannis Chamber of Commerce.

Willard is widely known for his dedicated public service and many years of philanthropy for hundreds of nonprofits here on Cape Cod. Most notably, he served for nearly 20 years as the Vice President of Community Relations at Cape Cod Five. His other charitable and community board service has included the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, Community Development Partnership and the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce.
