WEST BARNSTABLE – The 15th annual Multicultural Festival of Cape Cod will be held at Cape Cod Community College on Saturday.

Entertainment at the Tilden Arts Center will include singers, dancers and instrumentalists representing nations across the world.

Michael Gross, the college’s director of communications, said visitors will be immersed in other cultures.

“You literally can walk into a room and find yourself in the middle of Asia, or the Azores, or Brazil or places all over the world,” said Gross.

Gross said students from the college will be participating.

“We have students from Brazil and from Asia who are participating as volunteers and demonstrators,” said Gross. “In fact, part of the entertainers and dancers on stage are some of students living in this region.”

Gross said the festival can be a reminder to the community how much world culture can be experienced on the Cape.

“The whole concept of the festival is to give people a taste of all of the world cultures that are actually right here in the midst of us on Cape Cod,” said Gross.

The festival kicks off with a parade of flags into the Tilden Arts Center at 10 a.m. and events run until 4 p.m.
