Cape Cod Five President Recognized As One Of The Top Women In Banking

Dorothy SavareseORLEANS – The President of the Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank has once again been recognized as one of the most influential women in banking.

American Banker has named Dorothy Savarese to their top “25 Most Powerful Women in Banking” list, the fourth straight year she has been named to the list. Savarese is ranked 13th.

Savarese and the other selections for the list are recognized for the impact they make on their companies, communities, and the overall success of their organizations.

“All of the women in our rankings, including Ms. Savarese, are leaders at their companies and are truly exceptional at their jobs,” said American Banker Executive Bonnie McGeer. Savarese is the Vice Chair of the American Bankers Association and will become chairman at the end of 2016, making her the second woman to serve as chair of the ABA.

“I am humbled to be included with this group of ground-breaking women who have such remarkable records of achievement,” Savarese said. “This recognition truly speak to the talent and dedication of the entire team at Cape Cod Five and our shared vision of service to our communities and customers with integrity and personal commitment to helping them achieve financial success.”

Savarese has served as President and CEO of Cape Cod Five since 2005. Under Savarese, Cape Cod Five has seen its largest asset growth in its 160 year history. She held various management positions in the company for 12 years prior to her appointment as President.

She also serves on the Board of Trustees for Cape Cod Community College and Gosnold of Cape Cod.
