HYANNIS – The Cape Cod Potato Chip factory in Hyannis will close in April, bringing an end to four decades of operation.
According to the Boston Business Journal, The Campbell’s Company acquired the plant in 2018, assessed at around $3.5 million.
Though a local mainstay, the plant in Hyannis on produces about 4 percent of the total stock, however the site hosted tours and more.
About 50 employees are expected to lose their jobs due to the closure.
