Chilmark Residents Head to Special Town Meeting Tonight

CHILMARK – Residents in Chilmark will consider eight articles tonight at Special Town Meeting.

Several articles deal with easing traffic issues with $15,000 for improvements to the Park & Ride parking lot at Tabor House Road and $3,000 for improved signage, pavement markings and vegetation management along town roads in Menemsha.

There are also two $50,000 requests for state-required town property revaluations and the relocation of revetment stones and installing pilings to anchor the temporary tie-up floating dock.

Proposed costs for all eight articles total $150,622.

Town meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Chilmark Community Center.
